World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims [16 Nov 2012]

The third Sunday of November is dedicated to victims of road traffic accidents. This year it was 18th November. Every year an estimated 1.3 million people are killed and tens of millions are injured, many of which are permanently disabled. Irrespective of the precise happenings and responsibility, the traffic system in Hong Kong which gives us so much convenience results in more than 19,000 casualties including around 120 fatalities. On this day we pay a tribute to those victims with an understanding for all those whose errors have contributed to these mishaps. http://www.who.int/roadsafety/projects/world_day/en/index.html
