    Fatal collision on Yuen Long Highway [24 Mar 2013] 
     

     

    Two buses collided onto a broken-down container truck on Wong Chu Road, a dual carriageway trunk highway in Tuen Mun on 22 March 2013. This incident resulted in 26 casualties, including three serious 


    A taxi collided with the rear of a roadwork vehicle at 4am on 23 March 2013 resulting in the death of the driver and injury of the passenger. CRS is sorry for the casualties and their families and considers that more research and better practices are necessary for roadworks along highways. Despite increasing attention to this subject in the past decade and further deployment of Truck-mounted Attenuator (TMA), highway roadwork continues to be a major hazard for both vehicle occupants and road workers.
