CRS Chairman called for safety barrier retrofits on hilly roads in the Southern District [October 2015]

CRS Chairman Julian Kwong submitted a joint paper in the capacity of Southern District Council Traffic and Transport Committee (TTC) co-opted member at the 18th TTC Meeting on 10 November 2014. This paper called for immediate attention to the lack of safety barriers on hilly roads in the district. Almost one year after the meeting, there is no evidence of any interest among the authorities. CRS warns that disasters are just waiting to happen.
